Peter Hawthorn Belfast Bound is book 1 of a series of
three that follows Peter from birth to his first tour of Northern Ireland.
Set in October 1987 through to the end of October 1988
Peter and his friends Dave Spinney, Mickey Dobson and Paul Wilcox join the 2nd
Yorkshire Regiment (D) Company as young soldiers green and inexperienced but
the troubles of Northern Ireland and a mole within the ranks soon turn these
boys into men.
The loss of friends at the hands of the IRA and the daily
fear of the unknown frays their nerves as they ponder if they will ever return
home more over how will the troubles change their outlook on life itself.
Peter Hawthorn; Alaska Incident is book 2 of a series of three.
Set in November 1988 after the American Presidential elections Peter and his
friends have survived Northern Ireland and returned to England changed but not
defeated. Upon their return they have been informed that they are to go on an
exchange with an American unit to Alaska.
Deep in Brookes forest is Fort Brookes hundreds of miles
from the nearest civilization but unknown to Peter and his men the base holds a
sinister secret. A major snow storm looming upon them a deadly virus and 160
Spetsnaz thrown into the mix will determine if they will survive what is about
to transpire.
In the political throws of governments they thrash out
the politics whilst Peter and his men fight for their lives.

a series of three follows Peter and his friends to the first gulf war after the
unprovoked invasion of Kuwait by the Iraqi armed forces.
Peter and his men soon begin encompassing Operation
Desert shield and the beginning of Operation Desert storm.
Peter has married Mary Macintyre and adopted Kenzie
Macintyre as his own daughter he also has a new born son Peter Junior. Promoted
to Sergeant Major Peter and his friends are sent as an advance party to Saudi
Arabia to prepare a base of operations for the entire regiment.
Contact with the enemy is inevitable in Peter’s world as
preparations get underway but the chance meeting of an old friend from Alaska
brightens Peter’s day as the UN implements sanction and Ambassador Kofi Annan
continues to meet with Saddam Hussein and the allies to try to avert war.
