Audio Peter Hawthorn Belfast Bound

Just an up-date: I have just spoken to Christopher Hogan (Narrator) and have extended his time frame to complete this work due to unforeseen circumstances. The extended time line for completion has been moved back to the end of February. I will up-date if anything changes between now and then. Release date will be given when complete. Thanks Stephen.

UKRAINE

Is the Ukraine on the brink of an all out war? With the illegal annexation of Russia and east Ukraine are we looking at a potential escalation of a war that could suck the rest of the Baltic states into an unjust war? Is Russia playing a dangerous game or is President Putin calculating that with the United States in political turmoil and the UK in the midst of Brexit , NATO's future in the balance and turmoil in the west that he holds all the cards to take back the old Soviet states. Vladimir Putin is a clever man but being smart to out wit his opponents comes with dire consequences. We don't hear much about Ukraine's struggles to hold onto it's independence these days because of all the ever changing issues with the current President of the United States but for Ukraine the dangers and the suffering are very real and a threat to peace in Europe. Let's imagine for a moment that the threat by Donald Trump to pull out of NATO takes effect. What would the

Hunting Lodge a teaser chapter from WHAT IF....

HUNTING LODGE CHAPTER SIX The dodge drove at speed down the track bouncing over ruts swiping branches as James fought with the steering wheel to keep on the overgrown road, his eyes now adjusted to the darkness James could drive with confidence. “Wish I had my laptop” Sarah said studying the CD’s grooves from data being burned into the plastic as it glinted. “I have one in the trunk; as long as we’re not connected to the internet they can’t trace it” James informed her. “Hang on” He said as he took a sharp corner the rear end sliding as he corrected his line and then floored the gas pedal as he drove up a steep incline into an open clearing before coming to a full stop. “We’re here” He said pointing to a dark shaped structure through the windshield. Sarah looked ahead of them to see a one story building with a barn off to the left in an area fifty yards in diameter with overgrown grass and weeds all around. The porch looked rickety and left to ruin, to the side

Up-date on What if

I have to say I have just been writing some more of my new novel “What if” Its slow going but I’m happy with the way it’s going. I’ve had a couple of friends proof read for me; so far and much to my surprise they are blown away! Agent Sampson and Detective Cameron are really up against it but even though their backs are against the wall they will prevail. The story is becoming intense, edge of the seat but a long way to go before it is finished. The question is “Will Agent Sampson and Detective Cameron get the information and the evidence to the right people?” In a country on the brink and full of mistrust Sarah and James have to make a choice and decide who is loyal to the United States or a sympathizer to the southern cause. There is a long road ahead of them full of intrigue and danger at every turn but who do you trust when the CIA, FBI, Military and even the current Administration has been infiltrated. The country is in its darkest hour with shadowy figures in high offic

Success or failure

How does an author judge success or failure? I personally don’t judge success or failure on book sales or even a fan following, I judge success on completion of your book. Sure it’s nice to have the wealth and it’s a godsend to have a following; book reviews are hard to come by as an unknown author and in order to get those book reviews you have to spend money in order to get someone to read your work and even then there’s no guarantee that it will create sales or a following. The sad truth is as an unknown author if you don’t have the money to market your books or pay for reviews you are at the mercy of social media and your books become stagnant unknown to the populous that your books are out there. Self-publishing is a good tool whereas the more traditional publishers (The big 5) can be picky and choose who they wish, that’s fine but they pass over a great number of authors with absolutely fantastic stories to tell. I have had people read my books and they are blown away

Sample chapter from A Compilation of Twelve Short Stories

FLIGHT DELTA 1435 I was awoken from deep slumber by the familiar but much dreaded sound, my throw ball alarm clock. Eye’s still closed I reached onto my night table knocking over a glass on to the carpet blindly feeling for the object of my annoyance,  “Darn it!, Where are you?” I muttered feeling with my fingers until I touched the smooth rubber skin of the alarm clock. Grasping it firmly in my clenched hand I threw the alarm blindly across the room and heard a thump on the wall and a dull thud as it fell onto the carpet then turning on to my back I lay there with a content smile on my face as the alarm went silent. “Ahh Now that is what I call a home run!” I lay there quite comfortable, maybe too comfortable. “Got to get a move on, got a plane to catch!” “5:30 am, flight at 10 got plenty of time Phoebe, move your ass girl!” I muttered to myself and climbed out of bed feeling the cool but soft shag carpet on my bare feet. “Hmmm, I didn’t know shag was still in
